La Palma
Villa de Mazo es comúnmente conocida como Mazo, está localizada en el sureste de la Isla de la Palma y está conectada con la carretera principal de la Isla que enlaza todas las poblaciones. Tiene una extensión de 71,17 km² y una población de 4.802 habitantes.
La ciudad está a 500 metros sobre el nivel del mar, y tiene unas espectaculares vistas de la Isla de La Gomera, la costa que rodea esta zona está llena de valles y de granjas, en el norte, el paisaje es más montañoso y forestal.
El municipio de Villa de Mazo, limita al Norte con Breña Baja, al Sur con Fuencaliente, al Oeste con El Paso y al Este con el Océano Atlántico.
Mazo es famoso por la fabricación artesanal de puros, los turistas siempre compran varios, también puede efectuar algunas compras en la Escuela de Artesanía donde puede ver incluso como hacen las cestas.
Los lugares más destacados para visitar incluyen el Cerámico Molino, donde se produce una réplica de los navíos guanches; el Museo del Corpus, con exhibiciones; la Iglesia de San Blás, de 1512, con un altar barroco y una decoración elaborada.
También muy cerca de Mazo se encuentra la Cueva de belmaco, donde hay interesantes inscripciones guanches.
