La Palma
Los Llanos de Aridane es la segunda ciudad más importante de La Palma y con 20.948 habitantes es el municipio más poblado de La Palma. Se encuentra en la parte oeste de la isla y tiene menores pendientes que en las zonas restantes, y de ahí el nombre de la ciudad.
Es muy moderna, y tiene una plaza encantadora, la Plaza de España, donde durante todo el año, se celebran conciertos, y otro tipo de espectáculos. La plaza está rodeada de laureles y de cafeterías con sus mesas al aire libre.
En un lado de la Plaza encontramos el Ayuntamiento de la ciudad, al otro lado encontramos la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, con su estilo colonial de construcción.
A tres kilómetros a las afueras de la ciudad de Los Llanos de Aridane encontramos la pequeña pedanía de El Paso, ciudad famosa por la fabricación artesanal de cigarros. Aquí se puede ver el tradicional estilo canario de construcción rodeando la Ermita de la Virgen de la Concepción de la Bonanza con una capilla preciosa.
En el Paso está el Paraíso de las Aves, un maravilloso parque que es el hogar de numerosas especies exóticas de aves. También hay aquí jardines espectaculares.
