La Palma
The La Galga ravine is located in the northeast of the island and in the municipality of Puntallana.
In this ravine there is a spectacular mass of laurel, which can be traversed thanks to the fact that it has a well-conditioned path to receive visitors and allow them to visit the interior of its forests.
The route allows several possibilities. One of them is a circular route through the most attractive and interesting area of the trail: the Laurisilva del Cubo de La Galga. The other part allows you to connect this path with the main road (where there is a bus stop), the Montaña de La Galga (splendid viewpoint) or the GR130 (possibility of continuing towards Puntallana or Los Sauces).
There are no major difficulties to do it, it is suitable for most and can be done all year round, although it is recommended to avoid the excursion with large volumes of water.
To carry it out, it is recommended to carry a small individual backpack with some warm clothing, a raincoat, food and plenty of water; do not forget a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses, if possible take a mobile phone, a map and a compass with you. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
